A watercolor exhibition opened at Yunnan Normal University in Kunming on Dec 8.

Over 70 seasoned watercolor painters from Canada, Singapore, Japan and various provinces in China were invited to display their works at the exhibition.

Yuan Hongkai, who works at the university, said that the exhibition was designed to provide a platform for watercolor enthusiasts to learn the art form and exchange opinions on watercolor studies.

"The event is a good chance for watercolor enthusiasts to have a close contact with masters," said Yuan.

The painters also attended a sketching activity at the campus after the opening ceremony.
