This pot, above, sold for 1,380,000 RMB at the China Guardian Auctions, actually originated during the Ming Dynasty. Qianlong Emperor adored Ming-style Blue-and-White porcelain so he ordered the Imperial kiln to reproduce some types. This pot is a typical copy of Ming-style made under a difficult manufacturing process and represents the high level of porcelain making during the Qianlong period.
