KABUL - Afghan police backed by NATO-led troops had discovered a weapon cache containing 150 anti-tank mines during a cleanup operation in Helmand province 555km south of Afghan capital Kabul on Saturday, the provincial administration said in a press release on Sunday.
"The national police in coordination with NATO-led forces discovered a weapon cache containing 150 pieces of anti-tank mines in Khawja Dad village of Musa Qala district on Saturday and defused on the place,"the press release said.
No security personnel or civilians had been hurt during the operation, it added.
