Shooter Xu Haifeng won China's first ever Olympic gold medal at the 1984 Los Angeles Games.

Twenty-eight years later, China's platform diver Chen Ruolin won the countries 200th gold when she clinched the women's 10m individual platform event on Thursday at the London Aquatic Centre.

Chen won both the individual and synchro titles in front of her home fans at the 2008 Beijing Games and repeated the feat at the World Championships in Shanghai last year.
