About Changsha

Changsha, also called "star city", is the capital city of Hunan Province. It is located in the northeast part of Hunan and has a recorded history of 3000 years, Because of the influence of Quyuan and Jiayi, Changsha also called "the city of Qu Jia". As an important city of an ancient kingdom Chu, this city so far has unearthed many important cultural relics such as Ma Wangdui Han tomb and Zou Malou bamboo slips, reflecting its long and deep Chu cultural heritage. The Yuelu College located at the foot of the Yuelu Mountain is the very symbol of Hunan education. The numerous famous historical personages and cultural relics has made Changsha one of the first famous historical cultural cities.

About Changsha

The Orange Island is a long island, located in the center of Xiang River. It is one of the alluvial sandbar in the downstream of Xiang River, and the biggest inland island in the world. Surrounded by water, the island faces Yuelu Mountain in the west and Changsha city in the east. With a length of about ten miles, the narrowest place of the island is about 40 meters and the wildest place 140 meters. It is now one of the important attractions in Changsha.
