After over 3 months of waiting, Apple's cell phone product, the iPhone4, became available in China Saturday, September 25 at 8:00 am.

Consumers can now buy the iPhone4 at Apple's retail stores for 4,999 yuan ($745) for the 16GB model and 5,999 yuan ($849) for 32GB model without a contract. At China Unicom stores, the iPhone 4 will be available for qualified buyers who sign a new two year contract. For pricing and tariff information please visit www.10010.com. The new Apple Store in Hong Kong Plaza is located at 282 Huaihai Zhong Road, Shanghai. The new Apple Store Xidan Joy City is located in the Joy City shopping center at 131 North Xidan Avenue, Beijing.

Even Apple faced a major problem with the iPhone 4's antenna-gate. Founder Steve Jobs declared that a free "bumper" case for iPhone 4 phone users would be available in July 2010 and end in September 30, 2010.

But today Apple won't give Chinese consumers a free "bumper" case. One Apple sales clerk said the iPhone 4 sales in China won't face the antenna problems. And people are happy about buying their new iPhone 4. Some buyers said they feel crazy lining up for a long time to buy the iPhone 4. Their attitudes are described in a funny video on the Internet called “I don’t care.”

On the same day, two new Apple retail stores open in China. One is located in Hong Kong Plaza in Shanghai and one in Xidan Joy City in Beijing.

In an Apple media meeting at the new Shanghai location on Septmber 21, Apple representatives stressed that they would have an adequate number of iPhone 4s for sale on September 25th day. Customers can rest assured they can buy one on that day.
