The 6th Beijing-Tokyo Forum wraps up in Japan

The 6th Beijing-Tokyo Forum, titled "The Future of Asia and Sino-Japanese Contributions," wrapped up on August 31 in Tokyo.

The two sides carried out dialogues in two comprehensive meetings and five panel forums on politics, economics, media, security and regions issues during the two-day agenda.

Yuji Miyamoto, former Japan’s Ambassador to China, Su Ning, former Vice President of the People’s Bank of China, Tashiro Muto, former Deputy Governor of the Bank of Japan, Sun Yao, Vice Governor of the People’s Government of Heilongjiang province, Yotaro Kobayashi, Chairman of the board and former Chief Corporate Advisor of Fuji Xerox Company, and Wu Jianmin, President of the International Exhibitions Bureau gave reports at the closing conference.

Representatives also listened to a recap of the five panel forums.

After the conclusive session, deputies from both sides met the press together.

The Beijing-Tokyo Forum, co-organized by China Daily and Genron NPO, a Japanese non-profit think tank, is one of the most significant platforms for non-governmental communication between China and Japan. It is designed to improve the bilateral relationship and deepen mutual understanding between the two countries.
