"The third judicial interpretation of the Marriage Law neglects the protection of rights and interests of the disadvantaged party in a marriage. It puts wives in a week position in divorce cases, which in a way 'encourage' divorce."
Chen Youhua, a professor of sociology with Nanjing University, said recently and suggested corresponding measures be taken to cope with the increase of divorce rate.
