China devoted to new win-win era

Economic globalization has expedited the integration process of more than 200 countries and regions and over 7 billion people. China is now not only the most populous country, but also the largest trading nation, and the second-largest economy - and it could become the largest economy in the future.

It is in this context that President Xi Jinping has proposed the new style of diplomacy centering on a "win-win" system, which has gained worldwide recognition. This shows China has the will and competence to promote world peace and development, and the world will soon embrace a new era of "win-win" system initiated by China.

The "win-win" system can be explained in seven parts. One, it is aimed at establishing a new model of international relations with win-win cooperation at its core. Xi has said we must adhere to win-win cooperation, work for a new model of international relationship with win-win cooperation at its core, stick to the strategy of mutual benefit in opening-up, and reflect this idea in global exchanges in political, economic, security, cultural and other fields.

Two, the system's aim is to work together with other countries to develop an open world economy in order to realize common development. China should take the lead in building an open world economy, share its opportunities with other countries, combine its interests with the interests of others, increase the converging points of common interests, and promote common development and prosperity through opening-up and cooperation.

Three, the system will allow China to work more intensively with the international community to cope with the common challenge of non-traditional threats. In responding to global challenges, including climate change, terrorism, cybersecurity, organized transnational crimes, major epidemics, disaster prevention and relief, China should shoulder due responsibilities to lead and offer help to other developing countries.

Four, under the win-win system, China will wholeheartedly participate in global governance and take on international responsibilities and obligations. In international organizations such as the UN, China will play a more active role, more vigorously participate in international affairs, and propose plans more actively to ensure they become part of the overall global plan.

Five, the system foresees China working with the United States to consolidate the "new type of major-country relationship" between the two countries. China should follow the peaceful co-existence principle of no conflict and confrontation, mutual respect and win-win cooperation in regard to the US - as stated by Xi - sincerely maintain peace and realize common development with countries including the US, and pursue more extensive and deeper integration.

Six, the win-win system will promote exchanges among all countries and regions in order to realize common progress of all human civilizations. Civilizations develop through exchanges and by learning from each other, which propel human progress and peaceful development. To promote such exchanges, the right attitude and principles are necessary.

Seven, the system will facilitate comprehensive human development mainly in four areas by prompting China to contribute more to global economic growth; promote global economic integration, free trade, investment and service to drive global economic growth; promote "green revolution" by helping save energy and reduce emissions; and encourage equitable development across the world by helping narrow the North-South development gap.

The win-win system is at the core and in the long-term interest of the Chinese people, as well as people in the rest of the world.
