"We often get calls from underground dealers who want to buy sick even dead pigs and sell the meat. Most farms do not trade with them, but the market exists."
Wu Shengrong, owner of a pig-breeding farm in Fujian province, said in an interview. The provincial court recently made public several cases involving more than 2000 tons of dead or sick pigs.
