Their flaunting of wealth and their seemingly insatiable appetite for public attention, have triggered widespread hatred toward the rich in recent years. Such flaunting of wealth indicates the distorted values of rich people and their spiritual vacuum, says an article in Legal Daily. Excerpts:

A woman in Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan province, recently hired a motorcade to find her lost dog. The motorcade, comprising seven vehicles with a Cadillac at the front, was so eye-catching that many people thought the cars were part of a wedding.

The woman's anxiety to find her lost dog is understandable. However, such behavior can easily provoke criticism, as the public tends to view such behavior as an ostentatious display of wealth. There are many similar examples. For instance, some wealthy young women post photographs of their expensive bags online, provoking angry comments from those who can't afford such luxury goods.
