Hunan province native Xie Xin is holding his first solo show at the Museum of the Beijing Fine Art Academy.
The exhibition encompasses some 70 imposing ink landscapes the 90-year-old has created in his lifetime.
Xie trained in traditional ink techniques under such masters as Xu Beihong, Gao Xishun and Huang Junbi. He has remained active in modern Chinese art since the 1940s.
