Advanced modules support MPA program

This component was initially designed to assist CNSA in the design of its MPA program. However, when the project began, the generic curriculum had already been defined and started.

Case study targets practical skills

China and EU have developed training modules on EU public administration and public management for Chinese senior civil servants under the framework of the CNSA program.

Assessment for fair selection

After appraisal of assessment models, the Common Assessment Framework (CAF) model was selected in 2006. Work began early in the project with a seminar in Maastricht to raise awareness and develop understanding of the CAF requirements.

More training for trainers

Addressing the need for training programs for managers and trainers working in either CNSA or the provincial schools of administration is the main concern of the project component titled Training Management and Training of Trainers.

EU experience enriches China's civil servants

The China-Europe Public Administration (CEPA) Program started at the end of 2003 and will close its first phase at the end of this year.

Expanding sustainable networks with Europe

CEPA works with the Ministry of Personnel (MOP) and the State Commission Office for Public Sector Reform (SCOPSR) in seeking to provide a more extensive cooperative platform for Chinese public administrative departments and their European counterparts.

Annual forum for greater understanding

The annual China-Europe Senior Public Management Forum, one component of the CEPA program, aims at increasing understanding of public administration between China and Europe and meanwhile develop CNSA's capacity to contribute to national strategic policy-making by improving the ability to provide consultancy and policy research for governments.
