More training for trainers
Addressing the need for training programs for managers and trainers working in either CNSA or the provincial schools of administration is the main concern of the project component titled Training Management and Training of Trainers.
It aims at enhancing the skills of trainers and training managers and strengthening institutional capacity.
Its two main objectives are:
To enable training managers to improve their ability to specify, plan, manage and evaluate training programs that result in greater effectiveness and improve learning outcomes.
To enable trainers to improve their skills in the design and delivery of training and their use of modern training methods.
The project includes making the transition from knowledge based "instruction" to improving learning and its application. Also important are: modern training methodologies, and examples of "best-practice" - especially in the training of senior civil servants, evaluation techniques, and the functions and capabilities of training professionals.
The design and delivery of training courses on modern training practice for trainers and training managers is the main activity, including some joint events. Also included are a number of "ad-hoc" seminars and short and long-term study visits.
