BEIJING - Chinese top political advisor Yu Zhengsheng met in Beijing on Tuesday with Bulgarian Parliament Speaker Mihail Mikov, with the two pledging further cooperation.

Yu, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), spoke highly of the current China-Bulgaria relationship, which is to mark its 65th anniversary in 2014.

"China will work with Bulgaria to grasp the opportunity and establish cooperation projects which are conducive for the two peoples," he said.

Yu also vowed to tap potential in China's cooperation with Central East European countries, including Bulgaria.

Mikov said his country constantly insists on the one-China policy and the parliament will enhance exchange with the CPPCC to contribute to bilateral relations.
