TEHRAN - Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will head for Brazil next week to attend the Rio+20 Summit, a major UN-organized international environmental conference, the Press TV reported on Monday.

Mir-Qassem Mo'meni, head of the Iran-Brazil friendship association, said Monday that Ahmadinejad, heading a delegation, will leave for Brazil on June 19 to attend the conference, said the report.

At the Rio+20 conference, which will take place in Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro on June 20-22, world leaders, along with thousands of participants from governments, private sectors, NGOs and other groups, will come together to shape how to reduce poverty, advance social equity and ensure environmental protection.
