China's push for new-energy cars in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei province would benefit the related companies in this industry, said a researcher quoted by the Securities Daily Thursday.

According to the researcher at Xiangcai Securities Co Ltd, companies such as Dongfeng Motor Corporation, Zhengzhou Yutong Group Co Ltd and Lifan Motors, would benefit from the new-energy vehicles.

The research institution estimates that September sales volume of Zhengzhou Yutong's new-energy vehicles was around 3,000.

Promoting new-energy vehicles in public transportation is expected to improve the vehicle sales, the expert told China Securities Journal.

The sales volume of new- energy cars reached almost 10,000 units in September, according to data from China Association of Automobile Manufacturers.

From 2014 to 2015, more than 20,000 new-energy vehicles will be used in the public transportation system in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei province, according to a joint announcement released by seven transportation related departments on Wednesday.

The announcement also stated that by 2015, new-energy vehicles would make up no less than 16 percent of the total buses in those regions, and no less than 5 percent of the total number of taxis.
