China and Denmark has agreed to exempt visiting workers from each other's countries from paying endowment insurance.

Wang Xiaochu, vice-minister of human resources and social security, signed an agreement with his Danish counterpart in Beijing, according to an online notice released on the website of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security on Dec 10.

Liu Muping, an official with the Social Insurance Administration, part of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, said China has begun discussions with 15 countries on simplifying the payment of social security contributions for foreigners in China and Chinese citizens working overseas.

Germany and South Korea have signed reciprocal agreements with China to end double contributions in endowment and unemployment insurance.
