Traditional Mongolian costumes have caught people's attention at the final competition of Miss Tourism World 2016 in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, Dec 19, 2016.

The Mongolian costumes are made by Guan Xin, a tailor in Hohhot, who makes costumes for ethnic minorities.

Guan Xin is the founder of Xinyi Clothing Co Ltd, which is committed to the promotion of ethnic costumes. The clothing competitors wear is all designed by her and made by her company.

Guan feels very proud that her company was chosen as the designated tailor for the event.

"It is positive affirmation for our company to be chosen as the costume provider for Miss Tourism," said Guan.

"I could never imagine becoming a clothing provider for such a big event. I still remember when I started my business, I tried very hard to sell my clothes, but now the situation has changed,” she added.

Different from the usual traditional Mongolian costumes, what Guan has designed keeps the traditional Mongolian style, but also adds many modern elements. Guan Xin has designed 27 Mongolian costumes for the final competition of Miss Tourism World 2016, and these costumes have proved popular with the contestants competing in Miss Tourism World 2016.

"So far, I only focus on private custom-made folk costumes, but in the future, I want to have my own brand and to have my clothes sold in foreign markets."
