Transportation

The transportation system in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is well structed, with means of hiways, railways and civial aviation connecting to places outside the autonomous region.

Power grid

The power grid has a capacity of 500 kilowatts and covers the whole autonomous region. There are also 10 500-kV channels delivering power to Beijing, Tianjin and Northeast China.

Urbanization

The urbanization rate in the autonomous region is 55 percent. City clusters include Hohhot, Baotao, Chifeng, Tongliao, Hulunbuir and Ulanhot. Residential conditions have been greatly enhanced due to city development. Hohhot is one of the 100 best choices for investment in China.

Development zones

There are 45 development zones in the autonomous region, offering auxiliary facilities and public infrastructures. The autonomous region boasts cost advantages in production elements such as land, labor and power.

High-speed train debuts in Inner Mongolia

A bullet train departed Hohhot East Railway Station for Ulanqab marking the start of high-speed rail services using Inner Mongolia’s first newly-laid high-speed railway on Aug 3.

Grassland Tales From Inner Mongolia

This year marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the autonomous region, during which various celebrations are planned to showcase its prosperity and ethnic diversity.
