Inner Mongolia has set goals for developing its big data and cloud computing industries, with the ambition of building up a database to merge its regional leading industries and showcase their advantages over the next three to five years.

Relying on big data technology, the region is attempting to build a cloud platform for its leading industries in the region such as clean energy, the dairy industry, biological medicine, environmental protection and rare earths; to exhibit their products, high-level technologies, management experience, marketing skills, and after-sale services. Thus, new emerging businesses could benefit by searching for information on this platform.

Inner Mongolia has also set another five development goals including the construction of a large data center in North China, a data port along the Silk Road, a cross-sector governmental platform, an Internet Plus system for public services, and a multi-ethnic shared e-platform.
