Inner Mongolia's imports and exports in first four months

Hohhot customs reports that Inner Mongolia's total imports and exports in the first four months of the year were 23.68 billion yuan ($3.61 billion), a year-on-year decrease of 5.6 percent, with the exports declining 2.1 percent, and imports declining 7.9 percent.

The region's foreign trade in the first four months had five features: first, the processing trade clearly increased; second, private enterprises are still the main force in exports and imports; third, the main trade partners were Russia and Mongolia; fourth, exports of sunflower seeds and fruits and vegetables doubled, and resource products dominated the imports; fifth, the top three cities in import and export were the cities of Manzhouli, Bayannur, and Hohhot.
