The city of Erdos, Inner Mongolia got a Civil Aviation Administration of China science popularization base and a related foundation, on April 12, at the same time that the city's international airport joined the civil aviation system.

The base has four exhibition areas that provide information on aviation science and technology, the history of China's aviation and Erdos's civil aviation development, as well as answers to people's questions about flight delays, air traffic control, and other areas.

The base is expected to promote Erdos's aviation science and technology and communications, and aviation industry development. The airport will also take advantage of it to get more industrial projects, develop its economy, and build an air hub, a larger airport, and logistics, as well as innovative civil aviation science activities locally and across the country, to educate people about civil aviation.
