Inner Mongolia spending on vulnerable ecology

The Department of Finance of the Inner Mongolia autonomous region reports that it helped a threatened ecological area in the years 2013 - 2015, by spending 10.64 billion yuan ($1.64 billion) on the area, with the government providing 3.3 billion yuan, local people giving 2.08 billion yuan, banners and cities giving 3.63 billion yuan, and the rest mainly from enterprises.

In the same period, the region helped 148,000 people with relocation and, by the end of May 2015, it had seen some success in alleviating poverty by moving people and completed 2,551,000 square meters of housing for them, as well as a 725,000-sq–m shed for animal breeding, and 322.66 hectares of plastic-covered greenhouses, and 8,800 hectares of farmland.
