Fifty teams from Inner Mongolian universities and colleges took part in the qualification competition of the national university students’ robot contest on Oct 13 in Hohhot.

Over 150 students and teachers from eight Inner Mongolian schools competed in three events. First and second prize winners of each item will qualify for the national robot contest in November in Beijing, on behalf of Inner Mongolia. The contest covers universities and colleges from five provinces and province-level divisions in North China, including Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Shanxi and Inner Mongolia.

The contest will promote communications among schools and inspire students' creativity, said the deputy president of an Inner Mongolia university, who added that they can drive education reform of robot related subjects.
