Inner Mongolia to have first comprehensive bonded zone

North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region will have its first comprehensive bonded zone in Manzhouli, following the State Council's official approval on March 23.

The newly approved Manzhouli Comprehensive Bonded Zone has a planned area of 1.44 square kilometers, where it will carry out customs clearance, bonded processing, bonded logistics, bonded warehouse and international business. Designed as a comprehensive opening-up platform, it will help to expand the autonomous region's international trade, especially with Russia and Mongolia.

The Manzhouli municipal government applied for the bonded zone early in 2008. Based on intensive research, Manzhouli customs suggested the government synchronize the bonded zone's application with construction and investment promotion. This proposal, which helped streamline the preparation works, was accepted by the government.

Manzhouli customs plays a significant role in the bonded zone's approval. In addition to offering policy support, it will also checks on zone projects to guarantee that only high-quality enterprises Are admitted.

The application was officially submitted in June 2012 after survey and evaluation by ten state commissions and departments.
