Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council, an agency established by the Malaysian government to develop and promote the healthcare travel industry, renewed a cooperation agreement with Taiorient International, a medical service provider based in Xiamen, Southeast China's Fujian province, on Wednesday.

The company is committed to offering medical consultation services to pregnant women as well as infertile couples from countries such as the United States, Thailand and Russian. It has also set up branches in Beijing, Shanghai, and other 40 major cities across China. It has been a strategic partner of MHTC for the past three years.

Mohd Daud Mohd Arif, CEO of MHTC, said that the council aims to develop Malaysia into a popular medical tourism destination in the next five years by improving its healthcare service quality. He hoped that its strategic partnership with Taiorient International could help further develop the cooperation on medical tourism between China and Malaysia.
