Foshan in South China's Guangdong province came alive from July 3 to 6 with the launch of the Foshan International Cultural and Creative Week 2026.
As the centerpiece of the cultural week, the Yifang Lingnan cultural market was held at the city's Wenhua Park, bringing together 200 brand booths featuring over 2,000 creative products, from Shiwan ceramics to lion dance-inspired designs, alongside creators from Southwest China's Yunnan and Guizhou provinces.
Cao Guoliang, founder of A Yun Duo Cang, a cultural landmark in Guiyang, Guizhou province, said he hopes to spark a creative dialogue between Guizhou's mountain culture and Lingnan's traditions, making arts and culture part of everyday life. At the market, tradition met contemporary creativity as cultures from different regions came face to face.
This is the first time an international cultural and creative week has come to Guangdong province. Through the cultural market, Foshan is connecting creative talent from across the country and building a platform for cultural exchange and industry collaboration in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
