0MOSCOW - Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said Tuesday that he plans to visit the Kuril Islands soon.
During his working trip in the Far East region, which began on Monday, Medvedev said he will visit the Kuril Islands with colleagues, ministers and deputy prime ministers, local media reported.
The islands are also claimed by Japan and known as the Northern Territories by the Japanese.
