TOKYO, May 14 (Xinhua) -- Police authorities are tracking down two men on suspicion of stealing a diamond ring worth 49 million yen (about $612,040) from a jewelry store in central Japanese city of Nagoya, local media reported Monday.
The two unidentified men allegedly stole the ring from a jewelry store in a Matsuzakaya department store in the city after the ring was shown to them Sunday, Kyodo News reported.
The ring was the most expensive item in stock in the store. The store found that the item was missing only after the two suspects left, local police said, adding there were no other customers on site at the time of the incident.
The suspects, both in their 40s, mainly spoke English and occasionally Japanese, according to local police.
