A tattered Statue of Liberty created by Occupy Wall Street artists months ago came to Bryant Park in New York City on May 1, 2012 at the NYC General Strike. The whole day event features protests, marches, lectures and performances were held not just in New York, but dozens of other US cities. Organizers hope the Occupy Wall Street movement, which started last September and experienced a quiet and difficult period in winter, would be revived with the warmer weather. [Photo/Chen Weihua] |
