CAIRO - The upcoming Arab Summit will focus on the latest developments in Syria and the Palestinian cause, the Arab League (AL) deputy secretary general Ahmad bin Hili said Thursday.
The summit, to be held in Iraq's capital Baghdad on March 29, will also discuss the Arab-Israeli conflict, combating terrorism, the situation in Yemen and rendering the Middle East free of all weapons of mass destruction, Bin Hili said at a joint press conference with Iraqi's permanent delegate to the AL Qais al- Azzawi.
Iraq sees the summit as a significant milestone in its history that would lead the country to play a powerful and positive role in the Arab world.
