COLOMBO - The body of a Sri Lankan Tamil with stab injuries was found in a hotel room capital Colombo, a spokesman said on Wednesday.
Police spokesman S.P. Ajith Rohana said that the Tamil woman who had been in the Britain for a long time was found dead on Monday morning.
"The 45-year-old deceased had come to Sri Lanka three weeks ago and had been staying in the hotel since then," Rohana said.
He said the postmortem is being carried out to find out the cause of death.
With the end of three-decade civil war between government forces and Tamil Tiger rebels, many minority Tamils who fled to Europe are now returning. Most of the Tamil nationals from northern and eastern parts of the country stay in hotels in the capital.
