0TOKYO - Japan's wholesale prices rose 0.5 percent in January from a year earlier, the Bank of Japan said on Friday.
The index of corporate goods prices was down 0.1 percent from December, on a month-on-month basis, the central bank said in a preliminary report released on Friday.
The index stayed at 104.5 against the 2005 base of 100, according to the report.
