0BEIJING - An earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale jolted Vanuatu at 11:46 am Beijing Time Friday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.
The epicenter, with a depth of 30 km, was initially determined to be at 17.4 degrees south latitude and 167.3 degrees east longitude, the center said.
