Gymnastics school heads accused of sexual assault

A man walks past the Hunan Provincial Gymnastics School in Changsha, capital of Central China's Hunan province, on March 19. Oriental Morning Post reported Wednesday that the head of the school, Liu Zhiqiang, 48, and deputy head Zeng Rong, 52, were detained in November 2013 under suspicion of molesting six students. The newspaper quoted officials of the public security bureau of Kaifu district - which is still investigating the case - as saying that it has not revealed any details as the case involves minors. The school is one of the country's top schools of its kind and it is famous for launching the careers of Chinese Olympic champions Liu Xuan and Li Xiaopeng. The school's graduates have won a total of six Olympic gold medals, 15 gold World Championships medals and two at the Asian Games. [Photo/icpress.cn]
