Should investment lessons be mandatory?

I can see a place for optional courses in investment management in colleges and universities, but at primary level!

Young children should be taught the value of property and of money from an early age with pocket money, preferably earned by doing jobs around the home and guided in their spending at the shops.

Schools in early education concentrate on mathematics, essential in the management of wealth.

Business studies and economics are an option at higher levels of education.

I thought this is common sense... so who is showing little intelligence advocating MANDATORY investment management courses in primary schools?

Should investment lessons be mandatory?
