Should lottery winners' names be made public?

I 100 percent think that the winners should have the right to choose to be public or remain anonymous. By going public, they are opening themselves to moochers, scam artists and thieves whose sole purpose is to get their hands on money won by someone else. If I won, I would definitely remain anonymous!
