So-called "value-oriented diplomacy" is a nickname for political games and a dupe for the international community, democracy, liberty and human rights, says an article in People's Daily (excerpts below).

Japanese militarism has incurred unbearable suffering on countries and the Japanese government should learn from its past.

Regretfully, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's administration has not drawn lessons from history and tried its best to cover up and distort historical facts.

Right-wing Japanese politicians often portray themselves as "models of democracy" and peddle their democratic lessons around the world.

The Cold War ended more than 20 years ago. But Abe and his colleagues still want to organize their own cliques based on ideology to safeguard Japan's huge vested interests secured during the Cold War era.

Abe's tricks this time are no different from his old tricks of "value-oriented diplomacy" six years ago during his first term.

So-called "value-oriented diplomacy" is just transplanting the old tricks of the Cold War to modern times. The cultural diversity of the world will be threatened.

When the world is trying its best to promote global recovery, the international community should be vigilant to the Japanese right-wing's schemes and conscientiously boycott Abe's conspiracy that was invented to sow global discord.
