Austrian painter Gustav Klimt (1862-1918), noted for portraying female bodies, is also known for his landscapes.

Klimt's Bauerngarten, in which he presents a joyful scene of garden full of blossoms, will be auctioned on March 1 at Sotheby's sale of impressionist and modern art.

Painted in 1907, Bauerngarten was inspired by Klimt's annual summer retreat to the shore of Lake Atter.

The painting arose from a visit to a garden of a local farmer. It shows a vibrant combination of daisies, poppies and roses.

Last year, Oprah Winfrey, herself an art collector, sold Klimt's Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer II for $150 million to a Chinese buyer whose name was not revealed.
