The Merry Widow

The Merry Widow is an early 20th-century operetta by Austro-Hungarian composer Franz Lehár. It has enjoyed extraordinary success worldwide since its premier in Vienna in 1905.

The comedy tells the story of Hanna Glawari, a charming young woman who was not allowed to marry her first love Danilo Danilovitch due to their differences in social status, but dramatically met him later in life after she was widowed at a young age.
