Hou Guanzhi, age 70, of Cuizhuang village in Shenqiu county recently rescued five people from drowning when their tricycle went into a 2-meter-deep, water-filled ditch. Hou was walking along one bank of the ditch, saw that the five were in trouble, and ran into the water to save them.
