Overhaul vowed after deaths
Authorities in Jiangxi province have promised an overhaul of prisons in response to the deaths of eight inmates between 2008 and 2014. At the prison in Ganzhou, one inmate was killed by another inmate, one died after falling from a building, one died of a drug allergy and five died of illness, according to the investigators.
