Man, 70, rescues five from ditch

Hou Guanzhi, age 70, of Cuizhuang village in Shenqiu county recently rescued five people from drowning when their tricycle went into a 2-meter-deep, water-filled ditch. Hou was walking along one bank of the ditch, saw that the five were in trouble, and ran into the water to save them. He suffers from heart disease and was discharged from a hospital only two months ago.
