A leading county official in coal-mine rich Shanxi province is being probed on graft allegations, the country's top anti-corruption watchdog announced on Tuesday.

Wang Yinwang, Party chief of Pingding county, is being investigated on suspicion of committing grave violations of discipline and law, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China said on its website.

The commission provided no further details about the investigation.
