Toy company loses lawsuit against employee

A toy company in Guangzhou, capital of Guangdong province, has lost a lawsuit in which it asked for compensation from an employee accused of causing the company losses, New Express reported on Tuesday.

The company said in its complaint that the employee made mistakes in her translation of an English order form in September 2012 from a client in Finland. The company asked for 330,000 yuan ($52,770) in compensation from the employee for losses incurred from the error.

The court ruled that the employee's translation had been checked by her supervisor before being sent to the client, and the company provided no conclusive evidence to prove the loss was caused by the employee.
