A television presenter in Wuhan, Hubei province, was asked to leave the studio when he became angry while criticizing a county government for using public funds to build luxury office buildings.

Cui Jianbin, a presenter of Hubei Television Station, got angry and used curse words during the live broadcast of the Long Shang Xing program, on the local Fangxian county government building luxurious office buildings on more than 20,000 square meters of agricultural land and planting expensive ancient trees. The county is listed as poverty-stricken and receives a fiscal subsidy from the central government.

The luxury office buildings exceeded the allowed standard by 50 percent in area and were built on farmland. China's Central Television first put the buildings in the spotlight on April 7.

The head of the Hubei channel later said the incident was a "broadcast accident", and Cui will be punished according to the station's regulations.

Cui said on his micro blog that his work has not been influenced by the incident.
