CHANGSHA - Tong Mingqian, a senior political advisor in Central China's Hunan province, has been removed from his post for serious discipline and law violations in a major electoral fraud.

The Hunan Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) decided at a meeting on Sunday to remove Tong from his post as the advisory body's vice chairman.
