June 26 is the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. Established by the United Nations General Assembly in 1987, this day serves as a reminder of the goal agreed to by member states of creating an international society free of drug abuse.

In China, the number of registered drug users had reached 2.14 million by the end of March, and more than half of them are aged between 19 and 35, according to the Ministry of Public Security. The country keeps making efforts to crack down on drug-related crimes and make its people healthy and safe.
