Xinhua | Updated: 2013-04-12 23:25

BEIJING - Vice Premier Wang Yang and New Zealand Prime Minister John Key on Friday together addressed the first ever China New Zealand partnership forum.

Standing as important nations in the Asia Pacific region, the two economies are highly complementary to each other and enjoy huge potential for cooperation, Wang said at the opening ceremony.

Noting that New Zealand highly values its economic and trade relations with China, Key expressed hope for cooperation opportunities in more areas in his speech.

After attending the annual conference of the Boao Forum for Asia on Sunday and then paying an official visit to China, Key left Beijing later on Friday.
